This pipe I came down one night and made when I was looking to make something unique. I matched a single ring around the bowl with one around the shank. It has very nice grain and took a deep blast.
This pipe is another in my panel horn series. Again Curt did a good job in bringing out the grain with a deep blast.
A certain member of ASP likes Volcano shapes I did these two with him in mind. The first is a volcano-hawksbill. Didn t know if the drilling angles would work but I guess I got lucky and they did. The second is one of the tightest straight grains I ve worked on in awhile. Sadly, I didn t get a smooth out of it.It s modeled from a Don Carlos off Tareks site.
This pipe was made in an attemt to do something " different ". The top has an oval inner bevel. I was a little disappointed as I didn t create something really unusual but the grain came out well with the deep blast.
I made this pipe, one evening, after visiting Tarek s site and struck with an instant case of pipe lust over a straight grain Cavicchi I saw on it. Someone "saved" me $220 as they ordered it before I could. I did the next best thing to satisfy my unrequite lust by immediately making it.
This is a proto type for a special order I did of a Barling pot. Needed a smooth but this is a very light weight pipe and will be a good smoker.
This is a smaller version of a Gold Apple that I made as a possible selection for a club pipe.
