Today s work consists of a pipe my friend Bob Sholiton has been after me to make for a couple months. A 6 panelled diamond shank rhodesian.Not thinking I was up to the task, I put it off.Well he was out East and stopped by for a visit and I felt I should at least try it while he was here PRESSURING ME...... <G>
He had already taken a few puffs before we remembered to photo it. We left for Spring Creek near State College on Tues. morning to stay with another flyfishing pipesmoker, Mike Kidd, who graciously hosts our gatherings.We had a great time fishing, smoking and eating. Even had time to hangout in the State College Tobacconist Tues evening. Nice up and comming shop !
We had a good time fishing in the rain and by Wednsday afternoon the rising water had driven us out. The highlight, for me, were 2 large suckers I caught all the while fantasizing of 22" trout. Guess who was the real sucker.....
Off to Pulaski tomorrow to try my luck again for salmon......
