The Cabin Pipe
The last couple weeks I ve had the pleasure of spending days and nights fishing on Penns Creek in Pa with pipe smokers I ve met via the internet. Bob has opened his home to me and Maryann, cooked us great dinners and showed me some great fishing. I can t say how much I appreciate his generosity.
The cabin over looks the stream. You can see fish rising in the pool above the cabin and you know it s time to go. The nights are cool and all you hear is the rushing of Penn s Creek and tree frogs and insects outside. It s positively serene. Bob s friends from all over the country rendevous at the cabin. The last time I was there Jeff, a cane rod builder from Cleveland area was there as well as his old friend Dick who just got in from Durango , Co. All pipe smokers!
As a way of saying thanx I designed ashape that would be comfortable for fishing, fly tying or rod building and will present it to them tonite when I arrive. Here s the pipe:
