Today s work consists of a poker. Dave Nestor brought over an Ashton he was repairing them stem on to get my opinion of the logo he had duplicated. The logo was fine but I was really taken with the shape. It was a flaired poker with a very nice blast. I was doing some Christmas pipes and decided I needed a break. I quickly took a couple measurements and sketched one up on a cross grain block.
I was hoping it would come out well so as to tempt poker lover, Mike Jacobs. I put a two tone black and orange stain on it that really highlights the birdseye to make it difficult for him to resist. In case he doesn t bite quickly,its on the web catalog as :
