Today s work consists of one pipe. I admit to be a little tired after Kendals pipe and the BlowHorn etc. Last nite I got an e mail from Brian Blazer requesting a Walnut Gold Apple, one of my catalog shapes. I really like making the pipe and after a long reading session this morning, I decided to try for it even tho it was hardly next in line. I fired up my own Gold Apple with the ten yr old Navy flake and started working. I got lucky again and hit it on the first shot with a nice piece of briar. The results were so good I wrote him and asked him to re-consider the Walnut stain as the briar was so clean. He looked at the pipe and changed it to the Mocha Cabernet.
