Todays work consists of a Chrismas pipe that maybe a special order. Last nite while I should have been counting sheep I thought up a method for a triple stain, a brown ,a red understain and a gold topping. The brown highlights don t show much in the pix but it gives the finish a lot of depth. I ll use it on future pipes. Here s some shots:

The next pipe is a special order "Fishing Pipe" in a new Smooth /Coral finish which needs a name as it s not really a Black and Tan!
Lastly Dave Nestor has been haunting me to make him some pipes. He leaves me pictures hanging on my lathe when he leaves, little notes on the desk... I realized I d have no peace until I made them. The first is a copy of US 64 in the new Amber/Coral finish. He s been kicking himself for not picking up the original when it was made.This has a silver lucite ferrule.
I also made him a copy of one of the Ser jacapo Picta s in a Mocha finish but have to fit the long silver band yet, maybe tomorrow .....then maybe he ll leave me alone!
