Todays work consists of the last round of the 2000 Christmas pipes. I d estimate somewhere 125 were made, making it one of the most popular Christmas shapes.As these are the last pipes, all are on the web catalog, and if purchased, the pipe in the picture is the one that will be received. ( except on the coral and dark blast finish as a few of those are being still worked on)
I started this round with 12 blocks and tossed two after cutting on the bandsaw. Out of the remaining 10 two will be sandblasts,1 was a Black and Tan that had previously been ordered, and the rest were all smooths many with straight grains. An exemplary batch of briar ! Here they are:
