Today s work features some new pipes for the web store as well as a special order .Sort of an eclectic group with not much ryhme or reason to them. The first is a special order that went wrong. I received a commission to duplicate a Dunhill squat Bulldog in a smooth finish. I had made the shape before, took a quick look at the dimensions and hacked out the pipe. I sent the picture to the customer and he informed me there were no lines in the model he wanted. I re-checked and he was right, no lines! SO I made it again. The first version enters the web store and the second the customer was pleased with.

Piatt special order

This freehand was done as a teaching exercise. I was showing a friend who may make some part time what can be done to add interest to a pipe. He had been making some simple freehands and I wanted him to do some more work using lines. I got a " little" carried away but it came out to be fairly interesting:

FH 83, Sunrise , Size 6 , 2 Star

LS 109. Cabernet, Size 5 L

This pipe came from a nice block I had set aside and just couldn t think of a pipe at the time that would go well with it. Started out as a traditional billiard and became an apple when I removed a flaw near the top of the bowl. I like it better this way....
