This edition is pretty much the SUMMER'S work ! It s not like I haven t been working but fishing did play a major role in this..... Speaking of fishing, the summer didn t start until mid July when the waters re-ceeded to fisheable levels. But when they did the fishing was incredible! I caught 7 brown trout over 3 days in the 20-23 " range. If a catch a couple a year that would normally be a lot.
By early August the heat arrived and fishing kind of went South. Luckily I had 4 days of fishing on the Spring Creeks in Livingston which are not effected by the heat. The fishing there was tough but fabulous. Rising fish from 9:00 am until dark. I was exhausted after that trip.
Fortunately, we re not getting an Indian summer this year! Once again the fishing has picked up and fish are rising mid morning until dinner time. Im a happy guy!
This summer has seen a resurgence in catalog pipes. Perhaps adding shape 13 rekindled interest in them as it seems that s all I ve been making. For awhile making shape 13 was like printing money. I rarely take pictures of catalog shapes to post here as most of you have seen enough of them. At any rate enough special orders have added up as well as finally a few pipes for the web store.
